Icons and Trends

By looking at the latest trend in music industry as well as social networking I notice something big happening. The way we consume media is dramatically changing, and arguably the way we think is undergoing the same process.

Ring back tones are becoming major label' cash cow, while CD sales are dropped significantly. Young group of people tend to jump in into conclusion just by reading their friend's Twitter or FB status. Sinta and Jojo becoming TVC personalities just by lip syncing "keong racun" and share it via Youtube.

It's all about me, it's about showing what you have or what you can do and monetize it. Musicians tend to develop one catchy/provocative songs and sell it via RBT.

Digital trash is filling our media space.
